Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

Evaluation: Question Six

Evaluation: Question Five

How did you attract/address your audience?

To attract my target audience of both male and female teenagers, I incorporated a character of a similar age. Including a character of a similar age allows my audience to be able to relate to her in various different ways including her situation and lifestyle constructed within the plot of the movie. Using the young character worker well and this become evident in my audience feedback. They found it easy to not only relate to the adolescent girl alone, but the problems in which she’s facing and her thought process in dealing with her issue. The fast music was also added to the clip in order to create a younger and more adolescent touch to my opening sequence. The music creates an exciting and energetic feel, usually popular with the younger generation. Adding the music worked well as I received good feedback from my audience. They agreed in the fact the music added an exciting feel to the clip and created a build-up of tension towards the beginning of the movie. My audience feedback also highlighted weaknesses within the sound added to my clip. As highlighted in both my evaluation and audience feedback, a wider range of sound could be added to my opening sequence in order to create an even better atmosphere and build up. Ambient sounds and effects could have been added into the clip before the backing track came in.
